Our Approach to Building Repairs

The part that decides whether it lasts

Building repair work is executed against a defined scope. Danum works to the repair methodology, drawings and specifications approved by the client or a qualified structural consultant, and records the site condition relevant to that approved scope before starting.

Where buildings remain occupied or operational, work can be phased to manage access, dust, noise and disruption.

How do I know whether a crack in my building is serious?
Fine, shallow cracks in plaster are usually cosmetic. Cracks that run diagonally across a wall, widen over time, appear at beam–column junctions, or come with damp patches, spalled concrete or exposed steel generally indicate a structural or water-ingress problem and need inspection before any surface repair is done.
Can renovation be done while the building is occupied?
Yes. Works are phased by floor, wing or unit, with dust sheeting, protected access routes and daily clean-down so residents and staff can continue using the property.
Do you assess the building before preparing the quotation?
We assess the site condition and define the appropriate scope before preparing the quotation. Where specialist structural engineering assessment is required, this should be separately identified and arranged.
